The structure of Ru3Pt(mu-H)(eta-2-NO)(CO)10P-iPr3 shows a highly unusual "activated" nitrosyl group with a very long N-O distance of 1.365(6)A. The corresponding nitrido cluster is also formed in the same reaction.
