about jAtom
Several other structure displaying applets are already available
on the internet. jAtom is new in the sense that it does
not need to be supplied with a input file containing cartesian
atom coordinates. jAtom generates all atom
positions from the data for the asymmetric unit cell which are
embedded as parameters directly in the HTML page. All 230
space groups are supported (1.settings only). This applet is a
stripped down version of my Java application JSV. I will continue
working on both this applet and JSV. If you are not familiar with
the concepts of the asymetric unit cell and space groups consult
a book on crystallography or contact me by email.
problem !
Although this applet runs perfectly when I execute it with the
JDK's appletviewer, it does not display the bonds correctly when
running it in a browser (especially Netscape). The reason for
this is still unknown to me. I will try to find a workaround.
applet error ?
If you get a status bar message like JSVapplet can't start
after changing webpages you may try to click Reload.
