Introduction to the Community Knowledge Initiative
Welcome to the website for the Community Knowledge Initiative (CKI), a project launched by the National University of Ireland, Galway in 2001. The CKI hopes to place communities at the centre of debate and educate students for civic engagement.
Within CKI there are four basic strands:
Research Regenerating of links with community and researching volunteering and service learning through research
Student Volunteering Enable NUI Galway to become a role model in promoting volunteering.
