Energy Dispersive XRD: vol O2 ~10 cc/mol
Established vol O2 from shockwave experiments: ~15 cc/mol (50% difference)
- 15 cc/mol means there cannot be Oxygen
- 10 cc/mol means there can be Oxygen and has implications for possible transport mechanisms between the lower mantle and outer core.
