New programs/links added to the Summary of Incommensurate/Modulated Structure Programs for Powder Data and Single Crystal

Superspace Group Finder  - Ivan Orlov and Gervais Chapuis
The database provides relations between (3+1)D superspace and 3D space groups for commensurate modulation. One can search for common (3+1)D group for a known set of 3D ones or to see all 3D groups resulting from a (3+1)D one.

More information:

Superflip   - Lukas Palatinus and Gervais Chapuis
Windows, MacOSX and source code
This program allows a solution of crystal structucure in arbitrary dimension using the charge-flipping algorithm.  It can thus be used to solve periodic structures as well as incommensurately modulated structures, composites and even quasicrystals.

More information:

Superspace Harvester - Ivan Orlov and Gervais Chapuis

Helps to find a superspace model for a set of structures by simulating the diffraction pattern for each structure on a semi-transparent layer.
Drag-and-drop CIF files to the program window to start exploring.

Update to the CCP14 Mirrored Software and GSAS Rietveld software resources:

New Windows version of GSAS place d on CCP14  server.

The most significant change is the addition of a new program MUSTRPLOT which will create a 3D graphics file for GNUPLOT of the microstrain surface obtained with the Stephens microstrain model (peak shape #4 for CW & TOF).

If  FTP log in and directory structure problems still occur, using non PASV mode with Windows Firewall Switched off seems to work.
