CaveateDue to problems/limitations in the Delphi development system, Gretep needs Windows to be running in (the normally default) Small Fonts Mode; other wise the window sizes and menus can go very strange. For more information on this, refer to the page on Strange Font Size Problems |
GRETEP (Grenoble Thermal Ellipsoids Plot) is quite simple to use and is obtained from the LMGP program suite site at
http://www.ccp14.ac.uk/ccp/web-mirrors/lmgp-laugier-bochu/.
In the late February 2001 version of Gretep, you can colour each fragment a different colour. This can make graphical evaluation of the structure much easier, especially when looking at complicating packing; including that of interpenetrated structures. First open the structure and go back to the main Gretep Plot Menu.
|
From the Top Right area of the interface, select either from Box of Enclosure, Sphere of Enclosure or Fragment Search. On doing so, you will be prompted on whether you wish to Colour the Fragments. Select Yes for this.
|
Now select the Plot Icon and play to your hearts content. You may have to regenerate the structure again using this option if you did not get the set or range of fragments you were interested in.
