Diamond 2.1: VRML export
Diamond 2.1 Features Overview...
Previous: Distances, angles, and torsion angles...
Diamond now includes the ability to export the crystal structure as a VRML
(Virtual Reality Modelling Language) file. This is
a text file that can be read by a VRML 'viewer'. These viewers, which are
freely available on a large variety of computer systems, read the VRML file and
produce a realistic three-dimensional 'scene' showing the crystal structure.
This scene can then be 'explored': viewed from different angles and distances
and under different lighting conditions etc.
